Visual storytelling - more than just content
My professional career started with creating videos using DIY lighting rigs, borrowed cameras, and cell phone microphones. I even had a personal video go semi-viral in Chile during college! Entirely self-taught, I produced 43 videos in a single year working for a non-profit before moving towards the direction side of things. While I can still coordinate a shoot and throw together a rough cut with ease, my true skills lie in coaxing interview subjects out of their shells, finding the sparks that bring their stories to life, and polishing the final product. In the last year of my time at Indiana University, I produced 60+ videos (both short and long-form) working with two part-time videographers.
Software: Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve, Canva, Splice, Instagram.

Finding Home - Institute for Study Abroad
One of the first videos I made for an external organization way back in 2013! This was created from my university study abroad experience in Santiago, Chile, which I vlogged.
Goal: Capture the experience of a semester studying abroad in under three minutes as a part of a national study abroad video competition (Runner Up)
Format: Mid-length (1-3 minutes)
My role: Director, Producer, Narrator, Editor
This video was entirely self produced using all my own 2013-era equipment. Visual storytelling has been something I’ve been passionate about long before I was ever paid to do it, and something I still love today, even as platforms and profiles have changed.
Produced with Final Cut Pro.
